As far as the Bacchus Marsh Ambulance Station is concerned, dogs are also a woman’s best friend, as well as mans.
The recently opened station is one of many across the state, totalling 4,500 members, benefitting from a new peer support program.
One of the newest AV recruits – Millie the Old English Sheep Dog – was even at the opening of the Bacchus Marsh station.
Ambulance Victoria was proudly the first ambulance service in Australia to recruit a therapy dog and now after a successful trial, AV has 12 new recruits in its ranks.
