Eyewatch – Moorabool Police Service Area

Victoria Police have said they’ve already seen 10 lives lost so far in April, including five over the most recent weekend – they do not want to see this increase any further.

Operation Compass runs in two phases over the Victorian school holiday period and incorporates the Easter and Anzac Day long weekends.

“We know speeding, impaired driving, fatigue, distraction and not wearing seatbelts are the biggest contributors to road trauma, so we’ll be targeting these behaviours across Easter,” a VicPol spokesperson said.

Police will be highly visible and enforcing the road laws to reduce the incidence of road trauma and positively influence road user behaviour.

Victoria Police will be out in force throughout Operation Compass.
