Humpty Dumpty sat on the wall, and didn’t fall, at the Darley Neighbourhood House.
A 3D mosaic replicating the character in the old English nursery rhyme was recently installed at the local community centre, to help revitalise the exterior of the Occasional Childcare space.
Darley Neighbourhood House manager, Renae Knight said the project was funded by a community grant from Moorabool Shire Council.
“Humpty Dumpty is the result of many, many hours’ work donated by our mosaics tutor, Christine Cocking along with a handful of very enthusiastic volunteers, in particular Phillip Cocking, helping with the daunting task of installing him,” she said.
“The project has also seen the installation of a safety gate at the front door, a new sign and a security shutter.
“Humpty is a real feature for the House and we’ve had lots of positive feedback from the local community”.
