Equitana or horsey heaven, the biggest equine extravaganza in the Southern Hemisphere, is returning to Melbourne later this year – and you could be in the running to win tickets.
The equine event will return to the Melbourne Showgrounds during the weekend of 15-18 November, and is set to bring a spectacle in celebration of Equitana’s 20th Anniversary; from Australian illusionist Sam Powers performing “Australia’s first equine illusion”; to Dan Steers and Dan James of ‘Double Dan Horsemanship’ performing a show full of trick riding, horsemanship and comedy; and David Manchon, the star “Australian Outback Spectacular” and “The Rooftop Express”, debuting some of his new show with horsemanship and showmanship skills.
Other events include a horsemanship masterclass held by American reining legend Stacy Westfall, presenting her only demonstration outside of the United States; as well as competitions including showjumping, dressage, reining and barrel-racing events, and the final round of the IRT All-Star ‘The Way of The Horse’, where four wild horses will be trained and presented for the finale on Sunday evening.
Plus, lot and lots of trade stalls and free demonstrations.
