Festival fun not far away
ONE of Ballan’s most popular events is back this month, and there’ll be a wide range of activities available to enjoy.
The Ballan Autumn Festival is an annual celebration of local culture, creativity, and community, and is one of the oldest regional fairs in Moorabool Shire.
Around 10,000 people attend each year, and organisers say this year’s event on Sunday 17 March will be the best yet.
A central stage for entertainment, more artisanal market stalls, a new seated and shaded dining precinct will complement the usual crowd pleasers, including the grand parade and vintage cars on show.
More than 100 market stalls will line Inglis Street on the day, as well as an incredible selection of music on the Moorabool Wind Farm Stage, including young local folk band The Gordon Gypsies, the Ballan Community Street Band, and the African Star Dance and Drumming Company.
The animal nursery is just one of a plethora of fun sites and activities in store for kids at the family-friendly festival.
