First COVID, now Avian

A ‘deadly’ bird flu has emerged next door to Moorabool Shire and there is concern if it poses a threat to humans.
H7N7 Avian influenza (AI) has been detected in two Golden Plains Shire poultry farms, including one located in Lethbridge.
The two farms remain under strict movement restrictions and regular surveillance has enabled rapid identification and containment of the disease.
