CHRIST Church Myrniong will hold its annual Blessing of the Pets and Owners at Myrniong Park this weekend.

Everyone and their pets are welcome to participate.

“The church has been holding the event every year for many years,” Anglican minister Andrew Gifford said.

“Every year there is a variety of pets and their owners attending.

“It is a simple event where we celebrate pet ownership and reflect on how good it is to be trusted to care for them.

“Following a short service there will be a free barbecue.”

The event is all-ages friendly and all pets are welcome.

Attendees should bring their own chair or picnic blanket, drinks and pet.

The Blessing of the Pets and Owners will start at 11.30am on Sunday 19 October.
