Forum to shape music scene

A free forum in Ballan this week will help Council promote live music in the years ahead, and help musicians and businesses connect.

The ‘Live & Local Music Industry Forum’ is being held at the ballan Mechanics Institute on Wednesday August 24 from 5 pm to 8 pm, providing a valuable opportunity to contribute directly to Council’s plans.

“Information from this event, as well as engagement with the community through the micro-festival events will provide a useful basis for the development of a Live Music Action Plan,” a Council spokesperson said.

“The forum will pose the question: “What does a thriving live music scene look like?” and will encourage discussion around how best to achieve that vision.”
