AN expo in Moorabool’s north will return this month, connecting locals to emergency services and providing tips on storm preparation.

The Korweinguboora Emergency Group’s Community Emergency Preparedness Expo is back on for its second iteration on Sunday 16 June.

It will feature some of the latest equipment available to prepare properties for natural disasters, a mini field day showcasing local businesses and services, and more.

A spokesperson for the Korweinguboora Emergency Group said the family friendly event was worth anyone in the region attending, to ensure they’re prepared.

“Attendees can expect to meet local emergency services and organisations and learn more about how they support the community during and after a storm event, as well as see some of the equipment and vehicles they use in an emergency,” the spokesperson said.

“Attendees can also meet local businesses and see what they can buy to help prepare their homes and properties for a storm event.

“Food and coffee vans will be there on the day too.”

Entry to the event is free, and a gate prize will be drawn on the day, in the form of a storm/flood emergency kit valued at $250.

The Community Emergency Preparedness Expo will be held from 10am to 2pm on Sunday 16 June, at the Korweinguboora Recreation Reserve at 1399 Ballan-Daylesford Road, Spargo Creek.

The Community Emergency Preparedness Expo includes a mini field day of services and businesses.
