THE next round of Moorabool Shire Council’s community grants program will open on Saturday 1 March, providing community groups with an opportunity to pursue projects or purchase new equipment.
Non-profit community groups are encouraged to apply for the program, which has supported hundred of organisations over the years.
“The community grants program provides a fantastic opportunity for non-profit organisations to inject some money into what they offer to the community,” mayor Cr Paul Tatchell said.
“We have some wonderful examples of funded projects in the past – $30,000 for the Bacchus Marsh BMX Club to construct a much-needed start hill cover at their track and $5000 for Blackwood and Barrys Reef Landcare Group to develop a series of art and ecology workshops for local children in collaboration with local artist Kathy Holowko are just two of the recently funded projects.”
Drop-in sessions will be on Monday 3 March in Bacchus Marsh, Tuesday 4 March in Ballan and Thursday 6 March in Blackwood.
Applications open Saturday March 1 and close Monday 31 March.
To apply or register for a drop-in session, visit the Moorabool Shire Council website.
