Greendale Rural Fire BrigadeAwards Night 2024

GREENDALE CFA brigade recently held a well-attended annual awards night at the station.

CFA service awards were presented to members who have contributed to the operation of the brigade over many years.

CFA service Awards were presented by CFA Commander Gavin Hope and District 15 Brigade Support officer Irene Keating.

The following members were acknowledged:

5 Year Certificate of Service

10 Year Medal

30 Year Medal

The brigade also acknowledges members with its own awards. Recipients for 2024 are:

• Donna Zabinskas

The Brigade Life Member Award is given to members that have made a significant contribution to the brigade over a sustained period of time.

Donna has been a brigade member for 30 plus years, operational firefighter for 24 years, Lieutenant for 11 years as well as led the Greendale Support Group for 30 Plus years. The Support Group helped to organise events, outings, fundraising and has assisted in catering for many brigade events. As well as letting the brigade use her property for training.
