Having a roaring school holidays
SCHOOL holiday fun is returning to the Moorabool Shire with activities exploring prehistoric beasts and modern marvels at local libraries.
Eco painting, econ printing, dinosaur and sand art, flora and fauna papercraft, and animal felt art will be on offer at Ballan and Lerderderg Libraries.
“We’re very excited to deliver a range of school holiday activities aimed at kids of all ages,” said Moorabool Shire mayor Cr Ally Munari.
“There are several activities along the theme of prehistoric beasts as we find dinosaurs are always a popular choice with kids.
“As well as reading, there will be arts and crafts, sand art and dinosaur displays.”
Museums Victoria will also be paying a visit to Bacchus Marsh with different interpretative objects ranging from Australian dinosaurs to megafauna, and today’s animals.
“The highlight event is a Museums Victoria pop-up museum at the Bacchus Marsh Public Hall, where we have 300 spots available for the community to join us,” said Cr Munari.
“We encourage all families to come along and support our library school holiday program – it will keep boredom at bay and bring out children’s creative sides.”
The program will run from Monday 23 September to Saturday 5 October. The full details can be found on the Moorabool Shire Council website.
