It was a good Friday

Bacchus Marsh Lion’s Club has broken last year’s record for the Royal Children’s Hospital Good Friday Appeal donations, with tin-rattlers collecting more than $33,000 in April.
The Club reached a total of $33,437.30, beating last year’s amount by $2,703.30.
“A big thankyou to all who contributed to the annual collection or made donations to the cans in the local shops, [and] to the CFA Bacchus Marsh, for the use of the Fire Station facilities on collection day,” said Bacchus Marsh Lions Club RCH Appeal Coordinator David Atterbury.
“The community support from people of all ages and backgrounds is such a positive thing…every contribution to the cause is really valuable, everyone knows of someone who has received fantastic care at the Royal Childrens’ Hospital.”
Other local groups also made significant donations to the appeal, with Ballan CFA raking in $23,409.80.
All donations contributed toward the $18,175,467 total for the 2019 Good Friday Appeal.
