Last chance to respond

Bacchus Marsh police are encouraging those that have not responded to the Community Sentiment Survey to do so as soon as possible.

Senior Sergeant Jen Horgan is the Station Commander at the Bacchus Marsh police station and said the survey closes next Tuesday 31 May.

“We are hoping we can get some more responses before this time,” she said.

The survey is available online at www.engage.vic.gov.au/annual-vicpol-community-sentiment-survey-2022

Snr Sgt Horgan said Emergency Services (pictured) from Moorabool met recently to complete a Search and Rescue Plan for Werribee Gorge State Park and Lerderderg State Park.

“One of the items discussed in our exercise was that some people using the parks are using maps of trails recommended by other internet users that have been posted.”

She said this creates a risk when visitors stray from the marked tracks and then get into trouble and need assistance.

“We encourage people to stick to the tracks, prepare for the conditions in case of emergency and keep an eye out for emergency markers they pass, so they can relay their location to emergency services if required.”
