The time capsule has been unearthed and opened and now more than a dozen Moorabool residents have received letters penned by their parents and loved ones in 1976.
Bacchus Marsh Rotary Club invited families to write letters to be buried in the time capsule, to be opened 44-years on in the year 2020.
On Wednesday 12 August, that capsule – and the letters inside – were uncovered.
One of the recipients Doug Wilson Jr said he had a card with the addresser his father Doug Wilson Sr, who died in 1997.
