Lifesaving device installed
A local primary school has been able to install a new device that could save lives, thanks to a grant from a Moorabool bank branch.
St. Patrick’s Primary School Gordon recently installed a lifesaving defibrillator for use by the growing school community, as well as the wider community who may need it.
The project was funded through a generous grant from the Community Bank Ballan & District which was sourced by the St. Patrick’s Primary Parents and Friends’ Association.
The school is mindful of its responsibility to be active within the wider community and be a support service for times of need, and is currently working for 24-hour access to the defibrillator by installing new accessible door lock on the school, so access for any community members is only a phone call away.
At present, the defibrillator is accessible by the wider community 6.00am – 6.00pm five days a week.
