“Love all, trust a few, do wrong to none”

Prepare thyself for an introduction into the worketh of William Shakespeare.

A new course run by the University of the Third Age in Bacchus Marsh will explore and revise a number of popular Shakespearean tales and sonnets.
Well-known local retired teacher Geoff Camm will lead the course, which will commence on Wednesday October 18.

Mr Camm’s teaching career spanned over four decades, starting at Bacchus Marsh High School, followed by several other Western suburbs schools and finishing at Melton Secondary College.

“It is a great privilege to see people’s minds open up and experience great literature,” Mr Camm said.

“Retirement is fine but I miss that interaction you have between yourself as a teacher and each individual student”.

The educational course will study the tragedy of Macbeth, the humorous Twelfth Night and a number of well-known sonnets.

Mr Camm said he understood that people often found Shakespeare difficult.

“But I guarantee that that is not true,” he said.

“People should give it a go and I am confident they will enjoy every minute of it, and be so proud of themselves and what they have achieved by the end of the course.”

The Shakespeare course is available to members of the Bacchus Mash U3A and will run from 1:30pm to 3:30pm on Wednesdays at Lerderderg Library.
