Major connectivity boost
Local residents and businesses in Blackwood, Newbury, Little Hampton and surrounds will soon have improved mobile connectivity thanks to the Federal Government.
The project will deliver fixed wireless broadband at Trentham (Blackwood-Blue Hill Lookout), and it will receive Commonwealth co-investment under the Regional Connectivity Program.
The Federal Government is investing $170.2 million to deliver mobile connectivity upgrades for regional and rural communities across the country.
The rollout schedule for these projects will be published on the carriers’ websites once contracts are executed.
“I’ve heard loud and clear from locals in Blackwood about the priority for improved mobile
connectivity. It keeps us safe in a disaster, it keeps us connected with our loved ones and it means we can keep supporting our local businesses to thrive.”
“I’m proud to be part of an Albanese Government that’s delivering for Blackwood.”
