Mayor again, after 20 years

The longest-serving Councillor in Moorabool Shire history has been elected as the new Mayor, while a new figure on the political scene has been elected Deputy Mayor.
Tom Sullivan has been the West Ward Councillor since 1996 and served as Mayor in two consecutive terms from 1998 – 2000. On the other hand, the new Deputy Mayor, Rod Ward, was first-elected in the East Ward in the 24 October Council elections and, is a first time Councillor.
