Moorabool represented in Canberra

Moorabool Shire Council’s advocacy priorities were taken to Canberra by the Peri Urban Councils Victoria group and their neighbouring Councils last week, for the Australian Local Government Association’s National General Assembly.

This year, the theme was ‘Partners in Progress’.

The yearly event allows Mayors and Councillors to engage directly with Ministers and MPs and advocate for their local communities.

However, this year no one from Council attended in person.

Mayor Cr Tom Sullivan said their advocacy priorities were raised by Peri Urban Councils Victoria and our neighbouring Councils who share common interests.
