NBN upgrades underway
UPGRADE works on National Broadband Network infrastructure will soon begin in the Moorabool Shire region, and users should be prepared for potential internet outages.
NBN Co is continuing works on its fixed wireless network this month, which will aim to provide faster speeds and extended coverage to locals on the network.
Works on its tower in Lal Lal will mean some homes and small businesses in the area may experience interruptions to NBN services over coming weeks.
“There is increasing demand for faster internet from homes and business across Australia,” said NBN Local Victoria head Emily Peel.
“These tower works are critical to the delivery of our program but will mean some planned outages that may affect homes and businesses and their ability to use their NBN service while the work is underway.
“After the tower works are completed, we expect that faster download speeds during the busy period will become available across the NBN Fixed Wireless network.
“We apologise for the inconvenience and appreciate the community’s patience.”
The tower works will not impact NBN fixed line or NBN Sky Muster satellite services.
