New book look
By Jessica Howard
Moorabool’s rural library van is sporting a colourful new look.
The mobile library service was recently rebranded with an external paint job by Bacchus Marsh graphic design company, ‘The Design Bus’.
The bright new look will aid in increasing visibility and awareness of the library service, which provides story time activities and resources to remote parts of the region.
Moorabool Shire Library Services will this week celebrate the new-look with a special morning tea and craft activities.
Community members are invited to attend the special event today, Tuesday (July 4) and Wednesday (July 5).
Moorabool Shire Mayor, Dave Edwards said the library van was important for residents unable to travel to Ballan or Bacchus Marsh.
“Instead of missing out on being able to borrow books or electronic media, these residents receive the full benefit of our service,” he said.
“Rural residents can reserve books online to pick up from the van, or peruse and borrow the large arrays of books on board.”
