New plans to make a splash

MOORABOOL’S first splash park will be completed by the end of the year, set to be located in the heart of the Shire.

The Mill Park Splash Park is currently being built as part of Moorabool Shire Council’s Mill Park Masterplan, which was endorsed in December 2020.

The new splash park will complement a skate park and pump track, and a basketball half-court, that were completed in 2022 and 2023 respectively.

Moorabool Shire Mayor, Cr Ally Munari, said she was looking forward to seeing the splash park completed later this year for the community to enjoy.

“Construction is well underway of the Mill Park Splash Park in Ballan, a continuation of the Mill Park upgrade project,” Cr Munari said.

“Works include installing approximately 40 pieces of equipment, additional shade structures, paving and a new public amenities block. Construction is expected to be complete in mid-2024.”
