New station to improve safety

A local permanent automated weather station has been positioned in Ballan, set to improve firefighter and community safety.

CFA unveiled a total of ten of the new automated weather stations, improving firefighter and community safety at incidents and planned burns with hyper-localised weather data, fire spread predictions and community warnings.
