New volunteers sought

A volunteers cuts weeds and grass at the reserve.

Council Trench Crown Land Reserve, just north of Bacchus Marsh, is a geological heritage site which holds the only known outcropping of 210-million-year-old Triassic-aged sedimentary rock in Victoria.

The Bacchus Marsh Council Trench Reserve was reserved and the committee of management formed in 2003. We are seeking new volunteers to join the committee for its new 3 year term.

Committees of management are vital to the ongoing care of public land reserves and community facilities in our region.

Women, First Nations people, people with disabilities, young people and people from culturally diverse backgrounds are actively encouraged to apply to ensure that the committee’s membership reflects the composition of the community it serves.

Please email [email protected] for more information or to apply. Expressions of interest close 7 March 2022.
