Do you know an outstanding Moorabool resident who goes above and beyond for their community, or have you been to a brilliant community event this year? You can now nominate them for an Australia Day Award.

Nominations for 2023 Australia Day Awards opened this month, with three award categories: Citizen of the Year, Young Citizen of the Year (up to and including 30 years of age), and Community Event of the Year.

In your submission, make sure to provide detailed background information, contributions the person or event has made to the community, any other awards the nominee has received, any past or present memberships of community, sporting, or professional bodies who may support the nomination, and any clear copies you have of supporting photos or information.

Nominations close at 5 pm on Friday 11 November, so make sure your nomination is either posted to ‘Dianne Elshaug, Moorabool Shire Council, PO Box 18, Ballan 3342’, emailed to [email protected], or submitted via phone by calling 5366 7100.
