One cut closer to a cure
BACCHUS Marsh Primary School year 6 students Arthur, Lucas, Ilija, and Jack had their hair shaved off at assembly on Monday 18 August in front of 780 of their peers to raise funds and awareness for the Cancer Council Victoria.

Their aim was to raise $5000 to go towards cancer research, and they are set to reach their goal, with $4921 raised from gold coin donations from their fellow pupils.
The cause is close to home for Arthur and the O’Neill family. Arthur’s aunty Emily has been diagnosed with stage four lung cancer.

He and his friends said they are are doing their best to show support for her, and everyone in the Bacchus Marsh community touched by cancer.
