Origins of footy in Moorabool
Are you a lover of both history and football? The BacchChat session being held on 1 July might be perfect for you!
When did football begin in Moorabool Shire? What were the earliest teams and who were some of the early players/people involved in the game? These are just some of the questions that will be answered at the free session at Lerderderg Library from 10am to 12pm.
Join Bacchus Marsh historian and Principal Librarian for Victorian and Australian Collections at the State Library of Victoria, Tim Hogan, as he takes attendees through the local history of footy, traces the ups and downs of local teams and leagues, shares some stories, and poses a few questions on the future of local football.
