Park works in progress

A LOCAL park has entered Stage 2 of ongoing works at the site, with part of the park set to be closed for more than two months.

Gordon Public Park has undergone major upgrades over the past few years, headlined by the installation of a new skate park and basketball court in 2022.

Recently, Stage 2 of works at the park, namely landscaping, have begun, with some sections of the park closed for at least the next ten weeks.

Temporary fencing has gone up, and the building, playground, toilets, and barbeque facilities are closed until Stage 2 works are completed.

The skate park and tennis courts remain open and available for the public to use.

This will be the final set of upgrades according to the Gordon Public Park’s Committee of Management, with the works to include car parking, new fencing, additional playground equipment, and more.
