UNTIL Saturday 31 August, local organisations can still express interest in becoming the Community Partner for the 2024 Ballan Cup.

Ballan Jockey Club members are encouraging as many community groups as possible to put their hand up to benefit from all the fun of the Stakes Day event on Saturday 9 November at Geelong Racecourse.

The club’s aim on Cup Day is to create a community atmosphere and celebration that goes beyond horse racing, uniting people of all ages and experiences, and creating an opportunity for members of an organisation to raise essential funds for their cause.

“We’re not just about racing, we’re about community,” said Ballan Jockey Club president Billy Smith.

“Becoming our Community Partner means your organisation can fundraise during our event. Whatever your best fundraising ideas are, we’re here to support you.

“We want you to bring your network along to enjoy the races and make the day even more special.

“It’s all about working together to create a positive impact in our community.”

Previous recent partner organisations Ballan Pony Club and the Ballan Recreational Reserve raised close to $10,000 as part of the event.

Ballan Cup Day tickets are now on sale, and more information can be found at country.racing.com/ballan.
