MOORABOOL Shire Council is developing a new strategy that’s the first of its kind for Moorabool, and wants to get the community’s thoughts on the draft.

The Draft Young Communities Strategy 2024-2028 is Council’s first fully integrated Young Communities strategy aimed at those aged 0 to 25, combining its Municipal Early Years Plan and Youth Strategy.

The plan ensures children in the middle years (8 to 12 years old) are included in Council’s future strategic planning.

With the number of young families rapidly increasing in Moorabool Shire, the community’s input on what services and amenities are most important to them is crucial.

Feedback is currently being taken on the Engagement Hub website, with Council eager to hear the community’s feedback on identified themes including health and wellbeing services and supports, community engagement and participation, education and learning, and safety and inclusion.

The survey can be taken anonymously, and can be completed in less than ten minutes.

All feedback will be reviewed by Council officers, and will inform the final strategy that will be presented at a future Council meeting for discussion and endorsement.
