Plants uprooted

November 18, 2021 BY

Thieves have stolen plants from a Moorabool playground, with Council asking for witnesses to come forward.

The 70 plants at the Lidgett Street Reserve in Bacchus Marsh included kangaroo paws, junipers and coastal rosemaries, and went missing last week.

“Council is organising a replanting, which will sadly come at a steep price,” a social media post read.

Anyone who witnessed these plants being pulled out of the ground, or witnesses to any plants being stolen from Council land or reserves, is asked to contact local police or Council.
