Protesters screen their cause

With the COVID-19 pandemic in mind, the Bacchus Marsh Community Coalition (BMCC) decided to hold an online rally against toxic PFAS-contaminated soil last Thursday night.
At 8pm, a peak of around 370 members joined the virtual protest on the video conferencing program Zoom, with over 200 watching a simultaneous livestream of the rally on the group’s Facebook page.
Kat Barlow, leader and spokesperson for the Coalition group, led the rally, crossing to eight different speakers during the 90-minute event.
