Putting all the ducks in a row

Ballan District Health and Care is tidying up its property titles.
The organisation currently has a planning permit application sitting with Moorabool Shire Council for a three-lot subdivision, but according to BDHC CEO Rowena Clift, it’s more of a consolidation than a subdivision.
The Moorabool News understands that a large activity room currently sits across two titles, showing that a consolidation makes sense – but still asked the question of whether the move is a way for BDHC to tidy-up before a sale may occur.
“As outlined in our December 2019 Community Update, Ballan District Health & Care (BDHC) is currently reviewing its business operations, with the aim of developing a comprehensive plan to become a sustainable health service into the future,” Ms Clift said.
“As part of that review, it was discovered that the BDHC facility sits over seven titles. As a result, BDHC submitted a proposal to Moorabool Shire Council to reduce our current number of Titles or Lots from seven to three. This is a consolidation, rather than a ‘subdivision’. Some of our Titles were out of date and not reflective of the organisation configuration as it is today.”
Notices of the application have recently been put up on BDHC boundary fencing.
The application is yet to come before council for a decision.
