Report smoky vehicles
If your car is releasing smoke for 10 seconds or more, it’s time to get it checked. If you don’t, the EPA will check it, and you could get a fine.
A smoky vehicle is a vehicle which blows smoke continuously for 10 seconds or more. The vehicle must be less than 4.5 tonnes.
You can report smoky vehicles to the EPA, but only vehicles which are registered in Victoria.
To complete a report you’ll need:
– Vehicle details (e.g. registration, model and make)
– Location where smoky vehicle was observed
– Any other observations regarding the incident (e.g. date and time)
