Sesquicentennial for past Shire

It will be 150 years since Bacchus Marsh was proclaimed a Shire next January, and Council is organising a photo gallery to mark the occasion.
Kenneth Scobie Clarke arrived in Bacchus Marsh back in 1836, with Captain Bacchus arriving and settling on the Lerderderg River in 1838, where the Bacchus Marsh Golf Club is now located.
