Shire hosting immunisation session
LOCAL residents are invited to attend a flu immunisation session facilitated by Moorabool Shire Council this Saturday.
The session is open to people of all ages who require a flu shot and costs $17.50 per person.
The shot is free for children aged six months to five years, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people aged five to 65 years, people with a specified medical risk condition aged five to 65 years, and pregnant women.
“Council runs flu vaccination sessions every year for all residents to ensure it is easy and accessible for everyone who wants the vaccination to have it,” mayor Cr Paul Tatchell said.
“I encourage anyone who wants to get the vaccine to make use of this council-run session.”
The session will take place this Saturday 31 May at the Bacchus Marsh Senior Citizens Centre from 10am until noon and 1pm until 4.30pm.
No bookings are required.
