MOORABOOL Shire in partnership with ShredOnSite will be providing an opportunity for community members and businesses to dispose of confidential documents for free.
The event will be held tomorrow, Saturday 22 November, from 10am until 1pm at the Moorabool Shire Council office in Darley.
Attendees can shed financial information, bank statements, old legal documents, tax returns, cheque books, diaries, bills, invoices, and receipts.
There will also be the opportunity to bring along x-rays which contain silver and can be recycled.
There is a limit of four archive boxes per resident or business.
Mayor Cr Steve Venditti-Taylor encouraged community members to register to attend and come along.
“Shred Day is an event that provides an opportunity for people to safely dispose of their confidential items,” he said.
“Residents can register for this free event, which will be held at Darely council office car park, 182 Halletts Way, Darley, on Saturday 22 November from 10am to 1pm.”
