A new shed and training facility for the Bacchus Marsh SES is now one step closer to becoming a reality, with the site recently granted a Building Permit by Moorabool Shire Council.
The joint project between Bacchus Marsh Lions Club and Bacchus Marsh SES was one of 237 projects voted by local communities across Victoria, through the State Government’s Pick My Project initiative in October 2018.
The project received $190,000 funding for the construction of the new building, aimed to help service the growing population of Bacchus Marsh.
Bacchus Marsh Lions Club member and project overseer Russ Hendry told the Moorabool News that “we have progressed through the permit stage for the SES shed and it is currently being constructed, for erection on the site in six weeks,”
Completion is set for October 2019.
