State parks to become national

Environmental groups have commended the news of a new “Wombat-Lerderderg National Park”, following the Victorian Environmental Assessment Council (VEAC) Central West Investigation Final Report.
The Victorian Government’s response to VEAC’s recommendations was tabled in Parliament on 24 June, with three new National Parks to be created, including the Wombat-Lerderderg.
