Support for grant applications
DISCUSS your community grants program application with a Moorabool Shire Council staff member next week.
The drop-in sessions, held at Lerderderg Library, will be open to applicants who would like further support.
Topics applicants may like to discuss include scoping and planning projects, responding to the assessment criteria, gathering required documentation, navigating the SmartyGrants platform, and digital guidance and assistance.
“Council staff will be available to provide guidance and feedback on grant project ideas and assist community members with any questions on eligibility requirements and the grant guidelines to prepare their applications,” said Mayor Cr Ally Munari.
“Anyone from a not-for-profit community group or organisation who wants to chat through a project idea for a grant application is welcome to attend.
“Artists and/or creatives are also welcome to book and discuss their project ideas so council officers can discuss the eligibility requirements with them for arts and culture grant applications.”
Attendees are asked to bring along anything they have prepared so far, and this can just be an initial idea.
“People only need…a rough idea of the project they want to apply for before the session,” said Cr Munari.
“They can bring along any supporting documentation they may like to go over with Council Officers, but it’s okay just to come and chat through an initial idea.
“The aim of the session is to provide advice and information, so community members feel empowered to begin the application process for their project idea after the session.”
The drop-in sessions will be held Monday 5 August and can be booked on the Moorabool Shire Council website.
