Sustainable policy up for feedback
A NEW strategy from Moorabool Shire Council aims to create an environmentally friendly approach for the Shire, and is currently accepting feedback.
Until Wednesday 3 April, Moorabool residents can provide feedback on the Moorabool Sustainable Environment Strategy, on Council’s ‘Have Your Say’ website.
In committing to its Community Vision 2030, Council is reviewing and updating its Sustainable Environment Strategy, with the survey forming the first step in that review.
Survey respondents will be asked a range of questions, from how important environmental programs are to them against other core services, to what ideas they have to contribute to the environment and sustainability of Moorabool Shire.
Moorabool Shire Council CEO Derek Madden encouraged anyone with a passion for the local environment to get involved in the survey and have their say.
“The Sustainable Environment Strategy will celebrate the environmental assets within Moorabool while taking a considered and informed approach to ensure the themes and actions within it are achievable and measurable,” Mr Madden said.
“The draft strategy is expected to come before Council in June 2024.”
