The State Government is offering a $250 ‘Power Saving Bonus’ to some Victorians, and you could be eligible.

To be eligible, you must have a residential electricity account, and be receiving payments under Centrelink Pensioner Concession, JobSeeker, Youth Allowance, Austudy/Abstudy, or a Department of Veterans Affairs Pensioner Concession.

Those who hold a Department of Veterans Affairs Pensioner Concession are also eligible, and only one payment is available per household.

To support more vulnerable households struggling with energy bills, the deadline to applying for the one-off Power Saving Bonus has been extended until 30 June 2022.

To apply, call 1800 000 832, or visit www.compare.energy.vic.gov.au.

If you need support to submit your application or have any enquiries, you can email the support team at [email protected].

The Power Saving Bonus will be paid via Electronic Fund Transfer (EFT) usually within 2 – 3 weeks, or via cheque if requested within 4 weeks.
