Themed library fun in the school holidays

MOORABOOL Shire Council will be offering a range of Wizard of Oz and Easter themed activities this school holidays.

Running from Monday 7 to Thursday 17 April, activities will be held at Ballan and Lerderderg Libraries.

“Our autumn school holiday program welcomes everyone, and we invite all ages to participate at no cost to participants,” mayor Cr Paul Tatchell said.

“In this autumn program we are offering a more flexible approach, featuring a mix of drop-in activities and bookable events to suit different schedules and preferences.”

Activities in the first week will include making a mini scarecrow, Wizard of Oz drop-in craft, Wicked ice-cream making, Emerald City slime making, and Wizard of Oz story time and face painting sessions.

In the second week, children can take part in Easter themed cookie decorating, drop-in craft, and a story time and egg hunt.

“Our autumn school holiday program is all about bringing our community together through hands-on STEAM experiences,” Cr Tatchell said.

“We’ve designed activities that invite children and families to discover a classic story, explore our library spaces, and get creative alongside their friends, their families and the community.”
