There is money for communities

Need a grant to get a new project started for your non-profit community group? The next round of Council’s Community Grants Program is coming up soon.

The next round of Council’s Community Grants is coming up, and over $250,000 was given under last year’s grants.

A total of $80,000 is on offer in the March funding round – $60,000 for Community Strengthening Grants, $10,000 for Arts and Culture Grants, and $10,000 for Community Events Grants.

Two online workshops will be held on Wednesday 16 February from 6 – 7 pm, and Thursday 3 March from 1 – 2 pm, on how to write an application.

Applications for a Community Grant open on 1 March and close on 31 March at 5 pm, with groups to be notified on the outcome of their applications in June.
