A motion to block Amendment C95, which would allow Maddingley Brown Coal (MBC) to receive, store and process PFAS-contaminated West Gate Tunnel soil, has failed in the State Parliament Upper House last week.
Despite the EPA rolling back its approval of MBC’s proposed soil storage facility last Tuesday (8 Dec) – a day before the disallowance vote – the disallowance motion was rejected by just a single vote.
