Traffic plan gets green light

January 18, 2022 BY

Council has endorsed a new plan to improve traffic management and road safety in Darley, with the final map made available to the public.

The latest Location Area Traffic Management (LATM) Plan was adopted by Council at the 1 December Ordinary Meeting, after two community drop-in sessions in July and an online session in September, as well as a survey and interactive map for the draft plan on Council’s Have Your Say website.

The area of interest affected by the LATM is north of Albert Street to Pamela Court, bounded by the Lerderderg River to the east.

The plans feature a number of new speed humps, centre blister islands, raised intersections, and wombat crossings, to improve safety for pedestrians.

The study was funded by the TAC and follows an earlier completed LATM in Bacchus Marsh in 2019.
