KRYAL Castle’s Unicorn Festival returns this King’s Birthday long weekend with fantasy themed entertainment and magical creatures roaming the grounds.
Attendees can meet a unicorn or unifawn, or ride a unicorn pony, see live puppet or jousting shows, create potions or have a go at knight school.
Makeovers including hair braiding, sparkles and face paint will also be on offer.
“It will be a three-day event and there’s a unicorn tinge to everything we do this weekend,” Kryal Castle experiences director Phillip Leitch said.
“We’re jousting on unicorns, we’re riding unicorns in the skill at arms competitions, we have unicorn rides for kids.
“In particular the unicorn pony rides are really popular and the kids just live a chance to go for a ride around on a unicorn.”
Mr Leitch said the event is suitable for both adults and children and provides an opportunity to escape into a fantastical world.
“We do get a broad demographic of people who like to come, it’s not just for kids,” he said.
“You go through the doors and it’s just like you’re in a different world where magical creatures and wizards and knights exist.
“To escape to somewhere different is really enjoyable to a lot of people.”
The Unicorn Festival will be on from Saturday 7 June to Monday 9 June. To book a ticket visit the Kryal Castle website.
