A WOMAN had to be rescued from her vehicle last week, after a collision at a local supermarket.

Ambulance, CFA, SES, and Victoria Police all attended the scene at Champions IGA in Darley, where it is believed a driver ran into the wall in her car and became trapped.

Ambulance Victoria said the woman was taken to hospital following the incident.

“Paramedics responded to reports of an incident in Darley at around 12:30pm on 10 April,” an Ambulance Victoria spokesperson said.

“One person was transported by road ambulance to Ballarat Base Public Hospital.”

Later in the day, an unrelated argument took place outside the supermarket, which police are seeking information on.

“Police are investigating an affray in Darley on 10 April. It is believed two groups of people got into a verbal argument at a business on Gisborne Road about 3.30pm,” a Victoria Police spokesperson said.

“Investigators have been told a physical altercation occurred between the groups, before they left the business.

“There were no reports of any injuries. An investigation into the incident remains ongoing.”
