“We can’t stop it” – Settle MP

The message, “this is not a State Government project”, is not what the crowd at Myrniong really wanted to hear from their local member.
Micheala Settle (State member for Buninyong) addressed the anti above ground high voltage transmission line community members last Saturday, and tempers were hot.
“I am here today to offer you any support I can offer, and I can understand how everyone feels – I come off a fourth-generation farm in Ararat,” she said.
Ms Settle also said there is an old adage amongst activists.
“Don’t get angry, get organised.
